This 1872 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint and features Christian Gobrecht’s classic mid-19th-century design. The coin displays bright silver-gray surfaces with visible circulation wear, scattered contact marks, and remaining detail throughout both sides.

The obverse depicts Liberty seated on a rock, holding a pole topped with a Liberty cap while supporting a shield inscribed “LIBERTY.” Thirteen stars surround the design. The reverse features a heraldic eagle with a shield, olive branch, arrows, and a flowing banner bearing the motto “In God We Trust.”
