This 1885-S Morgan Silver Dollar was struck at the San Francisco Mint and features bright silver surfaces with attractive natural toning, particularly across the reverse. Strong detail remains throughout Liberty’s portrait and the eagle design, with scattered contact marks and light abrasions visible from handling and storage.
The obverse displays George T. Morgan’s portrait of Liberty surrounded by 13 stars. The reverse features a bald eagle with outstretched wings holding arrows and an olive branch. The “S” mintmark appears beneath the wreath on the reverse.
