1922 Peace Silver Dollar Binion Hoard – NGC MS65

Own a piece of famous American numismatic history with this 1922 Peace Silver Dollar from the legendary Binion Hoard, certified NGC MS65. The Binion Hoard is associated with Ted Binion’s Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas, where a large quantity of silver dollars was famously accumulated and preserved. Examples from the hoard were later certified by NGC with the coveted Binion Collection pedigree.

Graded Mint State 65 (MS65) by NGC, this coin is a Gem Uncirculated example with excellent overall preservation, attractive Mint State luster, and strong eye appeal. MS65 represents a premium grade for a classic Peace Dollar and is especially appealing when combined with a recognized collection pedigree.

The 1922 Philadelphia Peace Dollar had a mintage of 51,737,000, the highest mintage of any Peace Dollar issue. Despite its large production, the 1922 is an important early-series date and is widely collected in Gem Mint State grades.

The Peace Dollar was designed by Anthony de Francisci to symbolize the peace following World War I. The obverse features Liberty wearing a radiant crown, while the reverse depicts an eagle resting on an olive branch with the word PEACE prominently displayed below.

Struck in 90% silver, the 1922 Peace Dollar weighs 26.73 grams and contains approximately 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver.
